new tire selection

Finally got to test drive my coach with the new Sumitomo tires on it. And they drive and ride great. Maybe its just me and I am glad to save almost half of what the Michelins were going to cost me. But the Sumitomos have made me a believer. $2500.00 vs $4000.00, I will take a savings anytime. Thanks for the input from everyone. And I do recommend World Of Tires out of Old Tennessee. They took care of me very well on price, installation and overall experience.

Same experience here, the tires for my Sprinter chassis motorhome were right at $10 cheaper than the distributor's price. i was getting them thru a distributor that has 8 locations and several huge warehouses and distributes to most smaller tire dealers in Georgia. They have a tire shop on site intended for trucks and such, but no problems with my "small" wheels. He sees one or two motorhomes a week thru the FMCA program and has a person who is experienced at handling the paperwork.

Mount, balance, and disposal costs are determined by the dealer and passed back to Michelin who charges to your credit card. Dealer uses in stock tires and Michelin does a buyback of the tires and resells them to you.

Sumitomos are on and look good. Very satisfied with the tires, cost, and service of them coming to my house to mount them.

That seems like a pretty sweet deal.

According to the ad, all six will be balanced. Will have to ask what type of balancing if I go with those. They are being advertised by Worldoftires on eBay. I am still shopping around. But if these are new tires and not (old) new tires it looks to be a real good price.

Just spoke with World of Tires, they bead balance the tires. They are coming to my house and mount the tires. They are 2017 tires. He waived the $199.00 road service fee and will send their installers to me. I am satisfied with this deal. I don't have to drive the motorhome anywhere with the flat tire on it.

At 10 years old, you're lucky only one blew...get the Sumitomos. RV tires age out before we can wear them out.

You may get tires on Ebay but be careful to know the age of those tires. If you buy local, you can check that before purchase. I bet if you check around, you can get a better price than that. At 367 each, that is only 2202.00 out the door.

It's a lot of money however we slice it. Arnold

We have had Toyo's on our coach for 7 years. Very please with them. Will replacing them in the next year due to age, but they still look brand new.
