Also be careful these pumps really fuel fast. If you get the Pilot flying J card you can swipe it at the pump fill and go plus you get the discount.

We used to camp with a guy that had the car sized nozzle opening. I can't remember what his RV was, but it was a pusher with the small hole.

I have seen a few with the smaller nozzle opening. It's rare, but there are some. And wouldn't you feel a bit foolish if yours was too small when you pulled up to the truck pumps?

I occasionally use the truck pumps, but like I posted, I prefer a clean service station even if it takes a little longer to fill. I am retired now and in no rush.
I have seen some big truck stations that are very dirty with fuel spilled on the concrete. You sure do not want to walk into your carpeted coach with diesel fuel on your shoes.

I have never seen a diesel truck or coach with a small nozzle opening, but I will take your word that you did see some.

Be sure to get a Pilot/FJ RV card. This will allow you to start the pumps at the pump so you don't have to go inside first. Once you are done pumping you move the RV forward and then go inside an pay. Every now and then I can find a station that's not a truck stop where there is easy access but in general I use truck stops to ensure easy in/out and no chance of damaging anything.
I also use the Gas Buddy app to determine when and where to fuel as one city/state can have substantially higher/lower fuel pricing and the large fuel tanks allows you some flexibility.

I know that, and you know that, but not everyone is always as up to speed as you'd think.

I once had a conversation with a Winnebago owner who swore he had a raised rail, IFS chassis. It was absolutely a straight rail, straight beam front. He was wondering why his basement wasn't a pass through like the other diesels. I just shook my head...

Truck lanes are the way to go for speed and ease of in/out...even my pickup has a large inlet.

When we had a motorhome I used to put on some old sneakers or booties so that I wouldn't track any spilled fuel/debris through the coach.

Some are clean and some are filthy with fuel all over the pump handles and on the concrete floors. But most that have heavy traffic are filthy.

I much prefer getting fuel on a regular gasoline/diesel gas station that has plenty of room to maneuver around.

And I do not know what Bruce Brown is talking about. All the diesel coaches that I have seen have the wide filling spout.
