Hi Border Collie and Emd
So what I'm gathering is to find an RV that's younger than 10 years preferably 4 and under because anything older will need some sort of work. Also I should avoid anything under 5k. Over all is a travel trailer cheaper and/or easier to maintain? I also thought carberator s were replaced by fuel injection sometime in the late 80s. I'm not sure I can afford an rv that's only 4 yrs old by next season but but who knows what can happen in a year as dad business goes CID prefer something newer but affordability is the issue. Is it possible that an rv inspector could check out something older to find nothing majorly wrong.? I was hoping to do this ad affordable ad I can. I did get a quote to rent an rv. These guys quoted me the right town but different state lol. It was 890.00 fir a week included 700 miles 8 hrs on the generator and a tank of gas. How would the fist of ownership compare to that rental quote? Would that depend on age and condition of an rv? 890.00 sounds high but is this high? Of course there's gas as they require a full tank when it's returned.
So yes I'm reading the threads blogs and now have two books waiting at the library. I have a cousin who's an avid camper. He just refurbished an old pop up. I'm sure he could help us check out some rvs. There has to be a way to do this affordably. Hopefully by my 50th be day next year I'll be emailing from an rv.
