New Winnebago Aspect

I am getting ready to purchase a new Winabago 27 K Aspect. Wanted help on your ideas on the product. Is it a good vehicle? Any special problems? It is not n a ford truck, I think they are fine. Any suggestions you have are appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Thank you all for the comments. One question I see some 27 s with no ladder on the back for the roof. It is not an option. Is one needed?

I really did not use the ladder much on our Aspect but, when I did need to go on the roof, I appreciated having something solid to grab onto as I stepped on and off. Is it needed, probably not. As mentioned already, there are many folding/portable ladders available that would work just fine if you want to go that direction.
  • I don't trust RV ladders. I use a collapseable after market ladder and I don't want to make it easy for others to get to my solar panels and escape hatch.

  • Our 08 Aspect has been great. I keep wanting to trade it in for something newer, but we can't find one we like as well as our unit.
  • They make a wonderful coach and I do really like this model myself. Also checking it online I do like the layout as well. I think you'll like if you buy.

There is a thread going on right now over at irv2.com on the 27K Aspect about where to place the trash can. We loved our '05 23D Aspect that we bought new over 10 years ago but just recently decided to change directions a bit and started looking at the 27K ourselves. A real deal breaker for my wife was "where do you place the trash can?". We ended up going with a completely different direction with the DP we now have but still stayed with the Winnebago product. We've had a great experience with their products over the years.

We didn't go with our current coach just because of a trash can, but, just another point for you to consider.
  • Only concern for me would be the 34 gallon fresh water tank for dry camping. Otherwise nice.
  • Fantastic vehicle in our opinion - in fact, after shopping small class A and a wide variety of class C motorhomes, we pick up our 2017 Aspect 27K this Friday.

    Build quality is excellent.

Not sure what you were talking about with the Ford comment, but ours in on the E450 chassis. CCC is a very nice 2560 pounds.

The only options we didn't choose were the on-demand hot water, and the roof mounted 100W solar panel.

If you have specific questions, ask away.
  • I see one year old used ones with less than 20,000 miles ofr $70,000 to $80,000. That is almost half price of a new one!
