Just perused this thread. Nice rig. My 2 cents based on my experiences with older big block gassers.
1) take it easy. Sure your coach will do 70 mph. But your wallet and drive train will like things much better at 55-60.
2) insulate your gas lines where they get close to anything hot. Vapor-lock is a real PITA.
3) if your carb ever gets tired, check out some of the offerings from Edelbrock. One of the best additions I ever made to my vintage Dodge gasser back in the day.
And yeah, you dodged a bullet coming from Tenn on old tires. Front drivers side blowout at freeway speeds is not fun, speaking from experience. I got religion on tires REAL quick like after that incident back in the 70s.
