I don't think the amount of axles has much effect on tongue weight. You need a certain percentage of tongue weight for any trailer to tow true and follow nicely. More axles just means more weight carrying capacity which in turn meant more tongue weight. I would imagine there is a ratio or formula and I am sure as you get into large trailers the tongue weight % drops but it is still going to be high on a triple axle stacker. I would guess, and yes it is just a guess, you would need 1500 - 2000 lbs. tongue weight to tow nicely.
