Newbie Power Gear Leveling question

Leveled up our 2000 Fleetwood Bounder, no problem. After sitting in gravel for a few weeks, shifted a little so wanted to re-level. Retracted all jacks and now nothing will lower. Lights on panel but no action. Had been having some issues with 12v batteries so checked them, one good, one bad so replaced both. Still nothing on the leveling jacks. Is there a reset switch or something else that we are missing? Any suggestions would appreciated!

  • Thanks again for all of your help. I am happy to say that the levelers are working perfectly now. It may have been something with the 12v as we put them back in the way that they were but are pretty sure that they were put in incorrectly. It is so great to know that you as a community are out there to share your wisdom with those of us without a clue. :) We are learning everyday and rest easier knowing that you all have our backs. Thanks again!
  • I had a similar problem. It turned out to be an inline fuse. Apparently the fuse that was placed inline was too small (5 amp). I replaced it with a 10 amp fuse and no more problem. This was also on a Power Gear system. I'm not sure where your inline fuse might be. Mine was up in the driver's side wheel well. It is just a small square box.
  • Try turning off the chassis batteries for a bit then back on. This will reboot the system. It worked for me. TB
  • have you tried it with the engine key on but not running? With parking brake set? Are you trying to manual level with the levelers or do you have Automatic levelers?
  • Engine running and parking brake set. Nothing. Don't even hear anything attempting to move or run. :/

You also must have the parking brake set.

And on mine, the "parking" brake needs to be set too.

If the engine was not running, they probably would not have retracted.
