Rental RVs get abused vs the way a private owner would treat one.
You might try taking a test drive in new or slightly used RVs at a dealer to judge the ride and noise.
Another option is a trailer. The tow vehicle can be selected to provide a good quiet ride. You won't hear any of the rattles from inside the trailer while towing.
