Am I wrong or is that a very good price for a Newell? It says its currently set up as a handicap coach but they will change that if desired.I've read some comments where people said they would buy a 10+ year old Newell or Prevost over a four year old coach from any other brand. Is that reasonable?HJ

Is that reasonable?HJ6 months ago, I bought a 13 year old Bluebird (same class of quality as a Newell or Prevost) instead of something newer. So, I am one that definitely subscribes to that line of thinking (going older high end vs newer middle to low end).Can't comment on that price as I am not familiar with what Newells are going for. But, it does seem like a good value to me. That coach - even at 14 years old - will still likely be able to outlast a brand new fiberglass sticks and staples coach over the long haul.

Is that reasonable?HJThe build is great, but NO SLIDES -- IMHO you are doing what we all tend to do when looking for a new Coach - Picture Dreaming - again in IHMO you need to get back to the task - define what you want. If it is a high end Coach (Prevost or Newell) fine but if it is a livable Coach then maybe not, one of my best friends has a Prevost with two slides, it is great on the build, (1M+) but it is not good to live in, and the maintenance is over the top. would be great if it were hauling around a band or used as a business office going coast to coast. but to full time I'm not really sure it would ever work.Point -- Define the Mission and then find the Coach that fits, BOL,

I get that, but isn't quality always the mission? I for one would not want a coach with no slides. I like the extra space the slides afford, just so there is access to things with the slides in.I don't see a problem buying an older top quality coach! But if I have to finance all or part of it, I understand you can't finance a coach over 10 years old. Isn't that right?HJ

Our coach is 14 years old and proof that UV light will take its toll on the best coaches built. paint suffers, decals suffer, plastics all suffer UV damage. Old coaches require a lot of care.

Isn't that right?HJIts not completely true. Our credit union was willing to finance our Bluebird - at 13 years old. My wife and I have very good credit (FICO scores around 800) and a good track record with them. So, they were able to look past the 10 year rule. If you have good credit and a more flexible lender (like a credit union), you can get financing.

Try looking up the value of a Newell or a Prevost on NADA. Establishing the value is part of the loan process in addition to the 10 YO rule.

Every Coach/Bus has its problems; bulkhead separation, bus air, cruise air, etc. You have to do your research so as to not be blind sided with cost.

Paying cash can be lowest cost, but does not take in to account the individual value of personal choice. If cost = value then the love of your life is money. For example, fresh caught trout is a nothin', I've caught zillions. Most are farm raised and stocked. Now, if you caught it at the head waters used for the gene pool with a lure made of a safety pin and the fresh hatch, you might have something of value.

Hey guys, sometimes things just come across different when sitting behind a computer screen. We all like RVing whether we paid for them in cash or have payments. I'm a pay as you go kind of person but not everybody can do that, especially, when you have small ones to make memories with.

Everybody has to find their comfort zone and having payments is comfortable for some people.

We are all here to enjoy the RV lifestyle, life is short, don't let people get under your skin.

Well I'm sitting in middle of AZ's National Forest in a paid for Moho with mostly no bills; though I'm lucky to have a cell phone connection today. As winter comes on I'll move south to warmer climates. Had fresh caught trout for lunch.
