But you not figuring in the weight of the new motorhomes, most here that get 7 mpg are around 20,000lbs plus toad..

My mpg has stayed about the same but my weight has doubled
Yep same reason why many trucks get about the same mileage as ones over 20 years ago, they are bigger and heavier.
