We have been looking at class A Winnebagos, Thor Huricane, Jaycos. Today we went in a 31 ft Newmar. Too bad for me! My wife fell in love with it. I will say we went over it with a fine tooth comb and could not find one poor workmanship item. It's even insulated better. The temp outside was 100f. We went inside other brands and the Naystar was noticibly cooler sitting in the sun. The wood was nicer, the leather was nicer . The full wall slide and the smaller bedroom slide actually are flush outside when retracted.
The down side is that it is $30k more than all the others. May be worth it. I was very impressed. It had a TV over cab section, which I did not like, but not a major factor.
So what's the consensus on Newmar products?
IMO, Newmar builds the best Mass produced motorhomes out there. We do NOT sell them anymore because they priced their products too high. We sold them for almost 15 years before we dropped them when they raised the prices and dropped the 3/50 bumper to bumper warranty and our sales dropped. Doug
