Nexus RV

I am so happy to have found this forum. I am in the process of researching RV's. I am most impressed with Nexus. Their videos are great and it seems everyone they touch is impressed with their professionalism. Hours and hours of reading everything I could find on RV's, their chasis, amenities etc, fuel etc has led me to the Nexus. I am just not sure if the Viper or the Ghost is the one for me. I do know I want to Boondock as much as I can and the Super C has larger fresh water and propane tanks. The hot water on demand sounds good also.

I plan on taking a trip to Indiana to meet with the owners. This is a major decision. I needed to read these posts. Thanks to all of you.

A tour would be good for you. As you know, they are direct sale only with no dealers. They will tell you they have a "network" of service providers, but I think you will find out you will be on your own.

As a happy Nexus customer I can verify that they do have a network of service providers. Even in rural Tennessee where I live there is a service facility within 20 miles.

Totally happy with Nexus, especially with their service. I've also stopped at their facility in Elkhart for some issues when I was on a trip through there. Awesome folks to deal with. They even took care of stuff out of warranty. Hard to beat that.
  • I'm actually on planning on touring the facilities this weekend. I'm checking out the Phantom Class C.
  • I live about 40 miles away from Nexus. I have toured the plant and met with both owners. As a "solo", I went with a Born Free coach.

Nexus builds a quality motorhome and the Ghost is impressive, but $$$. The step up to enter the shower was something I did not like.

A good late model used unit with all the "bugs" worked out might be a good choice for you.
  • We have been there and taken the tour. Very nice people. We liked their units except for one feature. We wanted a very small motorhome to go to Alaska. Their 24' has a curtain door for the bathroom. That is a deal breaker for me. Didn't want that. I told them that and they couldn't do it differently. I'm not sure why they put in a dinette that seats 8 people and then don't have room for a hard door. But like I said, we didn't want that. Their larger models, of course, don't have that.
