No fuel to Generator.

If your gas tank is low (1/3 to 1/4 tank depending on coach) it will not pull fuel from it for the gen, this is so you don't run the gen and run out of fuel leaving you stranded.

The OP stated he had over half a tank of fuel so that shouldn't be an issue. If you try to start the generator at the gen set you should be able to hear the electric fuel pump run. If not could be electrical problem or starter is bad. Good luck and let us know.

I have had a similar problem and it was due to a crack in the old rubber gas line. Mine was at the top of the tank where it was not accessible. I would suggest taking the line that is available to you and put it into a gas can to see if it starts. If it does than you can be pretty certain the problem is a crack in the line up by the tank. I ended up taking it to a repair shop and had it replaced. Good luck. P.S. I had a full tank when I took mine for repair and they put it on a lift and did not lower the tank but blocked up the tank and raised the MH away from the tank enough to gain access to the hose. I suppose if you don't have access to a lift, which a majority of us do not, it could be raised with the jacks and than securely placing blocks under MH. I was glad I had dealer take care of it, was done in 90 minutes and the cost was reasonable.

run a separate lint to a one gallon can if gen runs then your issue will be the supply line

Based on the age of you MH, I also suspect the gas line hose. I had to replace the hose on my 2001 Residency a few years ago for the same reason. The test is trying to start it with the gas line stuck in a gas can.

Dropping the tank is no big deal but with a half a tank, it's a lot harder. If you have "pass-through" compartments, see if one of them passes over the front of the gas tank. If so, see if you can crawl in far enough to cut a hole in the center of the bottom of the compartment near the front of the tank to access the lines. You can always patch the hole with sheetmetal. That was a lot easier for me.

If you want drop the tank to get at the line, you'll need to loosen and remove the filler pipe beforehand. Put a floor jack under the front of the tank and loosen the saddle strap holding that end. The tank will hinge down allowing access to the fuel lines. When done, just jack the tank back up till the saddle bolts line up again. NO SMOKING WHILE UNDER THERE!

Bummer but yes I'm thinking this must be the cause as well. I've done fuel pumps many times in the past so I'm familiar with dropping a tank. Just never imagined having to do one on an RV... Lol. Thanks again.

Soon after I bought that Residency, the gas gauge quit working. I tried watching the miles and mpg to figure out when I needed to gas up again. Finally figured it was time to fix it. Brought it home to St Louis from Council Bluffs, IA figuring the tank would be pretty low. Dropped the whole tank and pulled the sending unit which I was sure was bad. It took many attempts to figure out what the ohms should be empty and full but I finally found them and the sending unit tested good. I determined the wiring had an open between the tank and a connector near the rear of the transmission so I bypassed the old wiring with new. With the gas gauge again working, I put everything back together - job finished.

When I tried starting the engine with no luck I found out I didn't have any fuel pressure from the pump - so I added about 10 gallons of gas. Still wouldn't start and no fuel pressure! I reluctantly dropped the tank again and pulled out the sending unit/fuel pump. I though it would be a good idea to take the pump with me to match it up with a replacement. I couldn't get the push-on terminal loose. It had corroded and got warm enough to melt the plastic shield on the connector. I had the feeling I was driving TWA Flight 800! I managed to get the connector apart using brute force. I cleaned up the male side of the connector on the pump itself and cut the bad connector off so I could crimp new ones on - (they're only 1/4" spades). Put everything back together and raised the tank again. That was 10 years ago and it's still working. I'm still glade it acted up in my own driveway and not out on the road. I'd read several stories about dropping the tank to change the fuel pump costing around $800.

When the gas line to the generator proved to be leaking, I cut a hole in the compartment above the tank - much easier but a little tight in there for me.

After 2 unsuccessful dealer trips to fix my gen, I called an RV Mobile repair guy. He found the fuel pump on the gen was the problem. The rubber diaphragm inside the pump had a very small tear in it. He said he sees this a lot.

Which also explained the sporadic times of the gen working correctly.

Also when he was checking the fuel line to the coach tank he noticed the fuel line was wrapped up and down all around under the coach. another thing he said he sees a lot. RV Manufacturers put way TOO much line from coach fuel tank to gen. and gen fuel pump has to struggle to suck it, add the tear on pump and there you go.

He Shortened the fuel line, installed the new fuel pump and no problems since.

Bottom line, RV Mobile Repair knows way more than any dealership I have ever been to. I now have ALL my maintenance and repair work done by RV Mobile Repair. They come to you and within hours they can fix anything and correctly!

You probably have already followed the hose to the tank.. Some makers ran a 1/4 copper out of the tank so you can change the fuel hose with out dropping the tank. You may be lucky.

When you replace the hose use rubber fuel injection hose it will last longer.
