no power???

I have a 1996 Four Winds RV and am not getting any power inside. Fridge does not acknowledge any power when generator is running, or microwave, air, etc. I checked the breakers and none thrown, changed out the fuses and don't know what else to do. Oh, and I also found the GFI reset on the outlet in the bathroom and that didn't do anything either. What am I missing??

  • It may not have a transfer switch. You might have to plug the power cord into generator receptacle.
  • If you are getting 120 volts when plugged in, and generator is an onboard type. Could it be a automatic transfer switch not working?
  • didn't know there was a breaker on the generator, but will look when I get home. . . haven't plugged it into shore power cause husband said what we had access to wasn't as much as running the generator. I'm not sure I understand all this but will give that a try as well.

    Thanks for the ideas.

Might look for additional GFCI Breakers. I have three in my 28-foot trailer.

One near the kitchen sink, one in bathroom, and one in a wash up sink in the bedroom.

Several 120VAC receptacles are sometimes controlled by the one ONE GFCI breaker. i.e. when it trips several additional 120VAC receptacles may also go off down the chain...

My GFCI in the kitchen sink area controls the 120VAC receptacles around the kitchen as well as my outside 120VAC receptacle.
