I've already ordered the straps and the rod cause I couldn't find anything local when googling for RV supplies in my area. When I went to the sites that did come up and went to their websites to read about them, none mentioned supplies. It's okay. It's raining and has been and will be raining for another couple days. Having the awning out is kind of necessary, plus who knows how long it's been since they saw a good rain?
I looked all over inside and out and found no straps or pull down rods. I did come across 2 big plastic folders full of booklets about the appliances and stuff. Included in those area a book about the Chevy truck and the motorhome itself. :)
I will read those cover to cover. The door on the propane tank (one that locks) won't stay locked. I think I need to manipulate the metal plate in the front of the box a little bit forward so the lock will be able to get behind it when I turn the key. There is a metal bar/handle sort of thing on that propane door, that folds against the body of the coach. Any idea what that's for?
De-flappers sound like a good idea. Lots of good ideas! Thank you for your participation on this thread.
Let me ask you something else. Is a 2000 watt inverter a good idea or can I get buy with a cheaper one? I'm going to be buying one of those wifi extenders (don't know what they're called) so I can tap into the wifi of others on the road. Starbucks and McDonald's, if necessary.
Should I get a hotspot too? So much to figure out.
