No Trucks Allowed

Several years ago, we were heading down I-280 heading for 101, south of S.F and were on a brand new section of highway, I believe it was 85,and got pulled over by a state patrolman who said that there were no trucks over 20K allowed on that stretch of freeway and that we'd have to get off the freeway and continue on a local street to 101. We pulled off at the next off ramp and drove up to the next four lane and found it narrow and congested. Oh, and he followed us all the way there and left when we turned onto the street. Pulled into the next major parking lot, turned around and went back to the freeway and drove on out to the 101. He didn't like the fact that I tried to tell him that I wasn't a truck and was told that it was brand new surface and was still curing. Rather than argue, I just said ok. Gee whiz man, it was concrete for pete's sake.
