Should be a clamp on the rubber tube. Have to squeeze it open while pushing unit into the tube. Unless yours is different, that is how mine fastens. Not a fun job. Be careful not to break the plastic unit (don't ask how I know). Or, sometimes the tube gets in a bind and won't drain. That's a whole other problem. Good luck!
