Norcold Error Msg

Hello my fellow Class A drivers! I searched for this issue in the forums, and nothing came up, and I hope someone can help.

Today, we are setting up to hit the road Thursday. I tuned on the norcold, and it is beeping, and flashing 'no co'.

It is already cooling given it has been about 6 hours since I've turned on.

The manual says to turn it off, and refer to manual. That's it. Crazy.

Any input?

Thanks!

PAul

Here is the link to the "NO CO" reset procedure. Check your serial number and use the right method. NO CO reset

This kind of post bothers me. What good does it do to reset a No Co if you have not found and fixed the problem that caused the No Co??? It does no good!!!, just wasted your time. Doug

did u ever figure out what the problem was on the fridge no cool error?
  • Yes you turn it off then on again and it will restart HOWEVER, if it happens a second time your unit will go into lockup mode and won't do anything. I had issues with mine (long story) and this happened when I was the slightest bit out of level. It would give me the no co if I was in elec or in gas mode. it's supposed to be a safety mode so it has to be checked by a dealer. If it goes into lockup mode there is a way to reset it, you have to pull all the wires off the refrig board and reinstall them along with shorting out a pin on the wiring harness until it clicks and resets...you then can turn the frig on again. You can google norcold no co error message and get the right procedure and pin to short out. Mine was happening so often this summer, I had a wire and tools all set to reset it...takes about 10-15 mins. I had originally swapped out the cooling unit before the summer but I think the unit was defective, thus all the error codes.got on the phone with the factory and they shipped out a replacement unit, I swapped out the cooling unit again and hopefully this corrected the problem. Had to throw away alot of food because of no co error messages. If the replacement unit works...great if not I too will be going to a residential style all electric unit.
  • When I this error code, the ammonia gas was leaking just above the burner. The red light had not come on. I have replaced the Norcold with a Samsung RF197 residential refrigerator. I will never go back to Norcold again..

go to the rear and remove Vent cover and see if the red lite is lit up on the small black box (Recall system) If it is either the cooling unit has failed or the recall sensor has tripped.A schooled Norcold tech should be able to figure out which it is
