Norcold N611 fan instatll

Have a Norcold N611 refrig of 2008 vintage. On really hot days it has trouble keeping things cold or frozen. Was considering putting an external fan in, but not sure where to mount it - on the roof side or down below. Then the next issue is getting DC power. Has anyone done this on this model? Thanks to all who share their knowledge!!
  • I added extra fans to mine and it keeps the box at 38 degrees while on a setting of two. We've been from Michigan and are now in South Carolina so the humidity has been up with temps in the mid 80s. What I did was take the cover off the roof, made a mounting bracket out of aluminum and mounted it in that space. The muffin fans were about 5 bucks each so I used four....Dennis

Here's a link with pics of the install.....Dennis

  • At the top, exhausting UP.

The muffin fans take very little power, so you can tie into virtually any convenient circuit.
