The only time it's more fun, is if the tide is up and the creek is running.
I've seen more than one car, truck, rv or what have you, being drug out to sea when the tide heads out.
Some of our most memorable vacations at Pismo,contained a cooler full of libations, some lawn chairs, high tide and anxious people wanting to get parked and start having fun.
On the other side of the issue, I seen some very nice diesel pushers camping on the sand, it's just not for me.
