October FMCA mag

A few weeks ago I was reading the Oct. issue of the FMCA magazine. Came across a nice article on Thetford. Or at least that is what I thought when I started reading. As a businessman I like to see stories on how a company developed from being very small to a giant enterprise. But then I got to the part about Norcold. I have always criticized FMCA for not looking after the RV owners but sucking up to all the mfrs. They write the worst reviews of motorhomes. A waste of ink. Even Motorhome life does better. In the Norcold article they wrote a flowery piece on them being a great company with a fine product. Kind of a slap in the face for all those RV'rs who have had nothing but troubles with their 1200's. I wont get into the so called recalls. We are all aware of that fiasco. Shame on FMCA!

  • I agree. While I'm a member, I'm rapidly becoming disenchanted with the magazine editors. The recent review on a Class, excuse me, "Type" C was more like a press release by the manufacturer. Multiple slides on a large class C, but no mention of the CCC, which had to be abysmal. Then we get the review on the $1.5M MH. I'm considering dropping my membership next year; I don't attend rallies anymore, their benefits are no better than others, and the magazine seems to be written for a small majority.
