check out your local car wash or auto detailer - they get their supplies in 5 gallons jugs... and theyre usually happy to get rid of some of the jugs.

Ive got 42 quarts (10.5 gallons) of oil per change. A 5 gallons jug would make changing your 19/28 qt. of oil (and hauling it to walmart) for dumping a lot easier.

runs from the valve nipple into the empty jug. Monitor progress by looking at the "gauge" built into the old oil jug. I save the old jugs after I dump the oil
at the local auto parts store. I haven't bothered to install a quick drain on the gen since it only takes 3 quarts.

I did use their chart,but ended up getting two different answers.
I called Fumoto and they got me straightened out.

I put a Fumoto Valve on my Cummins 350 in the MH. It works fine EXCEPT it takes FOREVER to drain as opposed to just unscrewing the plug. It is a lot less messy though.

My first guess would be the model 106N with the 14 mm thread and the hose nipple.
Also, one fellow mentioned that he wasn't getting a complete oil drain due to the threaded portion of the valve protruding 3/8" up into his oil pan.
Should I also order a spacer/extension to avoid this?

YUP... Fomoto or QUICK change Valve , I've got one on my Mercedes MBE4000 / 12.8L (DD13)...

There is safety clip (not wire) that you can put on to prevent accidental opening....but honestly there is not possibly of accidental opening.

Ive run one on my F350 diesel (w/out any safety clip) for years - never had a problem.

Fumoto Valve, but installed this oil change, so haven't drained with it yet. Checked for leaks periodically because that is how I am and not a drop. Comes with safety clip to prevent losing the oil too. After doing what I did this year, I am almost looking forward to the ease of doing it when it is time.

I see they have several models, one with a 12 mm thread, and another with a 14 mm thread.

check with boating supply stores they are used quite often on boats

I've put a Fumoto drain valve on five vehicle so far.

Excellent and never had a problem.
