Almost all gas stations have steep driveways not conducive to RV's.
You need to get in the habit of LOOKING first at the driveway slope to decide whether or not you can make it in without dragging. If not drive on down to the next gas station. IMHO I would not just put wheels on it to be able drag it across a too steep gas station driveway. That stresses all parts of your MH.
First red flags it's too steep for a MH....are all the deep grooves in the driveway itself. :W
And never drive straight in. You have to come at it at a pretty drastic angle approach.
Also learned the while i pull away from a sidewalk the tail will swing out and be careful parking next to telephone pole. Need a tailight because of this.
I would be more worried about pulling away from the gas pumps!!:B
There is so much tail swing on MH's, you 'need' to pull into gas pumps where you know you can drive 'straight' out to avoid taking out a gas pump.
Even using the outer gas pumps, if you have to turn tightly to the right to exit you'll take one out with the end of your MH.
Driving a MH requires always 'looking ahead' BEFORE you proceed.
Make sure you can get in AND look ahead as to how you are going to exit. All BEFORE you proceed. :C
Throw a toad on the back end of your MH and it becomes 'imperative' to look ahead at how you are going to exit. Or you find yourself unhooking the toad to get out! Been there done that, once! :B
