My old M-31 Allegro has a ridiculous overhang. As others have said, you just need to plan ahead. Survey the situation before you get into it. The only mishap I had was when I missed a turn and pulled into a gravel lot to turn around. There was a big dip that I didn't see coming off the road. Tore the drain valve off of the air tank for the suspension.
My driveway at home is stupid steep. It scrapes every time when I return from a trip, but curiously not when I leave. It's always the left, rear corner of the bumper. I've been looking at rollers for the back bumper but haven't found any that will work with this thing. It doesn't have a standard receiver/hitch on it. They'd have to mount to the bumper itself and I'm not sure it could take the weight.
