Title for attention. ;)
About a month ago I picked up a 1999 bounder. I believe
is either a 34 or 36. Been fixing a few things here and there
so i haven't driven it very much.
I've had 22',and 30' but never one this long.
Went to the gas station and while i appeared to be in i get
loud bang. Her tail end was scraping the street, it's so long
all wheels were already in the gas station and big overhang
would block traffic.
I've seen rv's with metal wheels on the back like behind the tow bar
I'm guessing for this reason.
Also learned the while i pull away from a sidewalk the tail will swing out and be careful parking next to telephone pole. Need a tailight because of this.
Any ways anyone install the wheels in their rv?
I used to have one under the hitch receiver of our old one, as it was low and even though it didn't have a lot of overhang. I really hate a long tail that's going to wag the dog at interstate speeds and especially with trucks going by.
I've never really had a problem with any of our gassers, but now with the DP, there's no going back.
I bring it in to a lot of regular stations for diesel, even with the Jeep in tow, as it really irritates me, that truck stops charge so much extra. Bad enough that it costs more than gasoline and still trying to figure why. I mean, isn't diesel just kerosene mixed with oil, basically?
