Old Gasoline

We are about to buy a class c that has a Ford V-10. this unit is a 2008 with only 8000 miles on it, but has been setting in a building for 3 years with a full tank of gasoline. The engine starts and runs. I'm just worried about doing any engine damage burning off that old gasoline until I can get the tank down low and add fresh gasoline to it. Any thoughts.

  • Agree with fiveeyes. A full tank gets less contamination than a partial tank. Best news is that it runs now. So put a can of Seafoam in it to help with any residual varnish and just run it. Would recommend an oil change and an antifreeze replacement before this winter.
  • A couple of cans of Seafoam, or octane booster will help a lot.
  • I’ll bet Phoenix has a city hazardous waste drop off. Call them.
