Oman QD7500 won't start after disconnecting shore powerh

My Onan qd7500 generator would not start after disconnecting from shore power, although after sitting at the shop all day getting dewinterized, the generator started just as normal. When we left for a trip, generator would not start again. After new batteries, and finally jumping at the starter, it would crank but not start. After replacing fuel pump fuse was able to make it start, and then it started normally.
According to the wiring diagram in the owner manual, there is an intelliswitch that prevents the generator from starting when connected to shore power. But it doesn't say where this switch is. I think it may be defective, does anyone know where it would be located on 2001 fleet wood discovery?
  • "I knew I read it wrong, the intelliswitch controls the heat and air, and the transfer switch which I located today is in the compartment with the shore power cord.
How can I determine if the transfer switch is defectives?
  • Transfer switch is located under the bed in my 05 Bounder.

Gen will start and take over the load while plugged in to 50A.

Would the diagram mentioned be the one on page 06-12 of the owner's manual titled "Typical Electrical Diagram"?

  • Could it be the transfer switch is malfunctioning, or maybe I am totally reading things wrong
  • Granted, the mfgs are always changing things, but the 7500 generator in my 2005 Fleetwood Excursion will start while plugged into shore power. The one time I tried it, you could hear the transfer switch clang.
