This happened to me as well and I just replaced the carb with a new one. Ebay is a good place to find one a little cheaper. It is important to use fuel stabilizer in your last tank of fuel for the year before storing the RV and then run that fuel through the generator to help prevent this problem. It could also help to put an inline fuel shut off valve on the fuel line to the generator so you can run the carb dry prior to storage as well. Today's gasoline is really bad and damages all small engine carb's if you are not using a quality fuel stabilizer. Running the carb's dry is the best prevention you can do.
This is a great idea, and there is a valve. Like I said this is a new to me rig so I will definitely up the maintenance game since I own it now and I am a maintenance freak..
