Opinions on Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

This Fall has been brutal in my neck of the woods as far as rainfall and leaves. Our coach sits in the driveway and the roof gets a lot of leaves from the overhead trees. Usually no big deal as I can blow them off from a ladder, but with all the rain this year the wet leaves wouldn't budge so I have to take the coach for a drive to get all the laves off the top. On returning from my little excursion, I discovered what I feared...leaf stains and mildew....meaning I have to get back up there and scrub. At the beginning of the Summer, I simply used a rag, squatting on my hands and knees. It removed a lot of the mildew, but I was still left with stains.

I had it suggested to used a Magic Eraser and lots of elbow grease to remove the mildew and to do a thorough cleaning all over. Anybody ever tried it with good results? I have used them in the house for the tub and it does a really good job, but am worried that it's a bit abrasive and will be more like fine grit sandpaper.

Opinions?

Just got a cover...for that very reason. Will use it between trips next year. After I do the hard job of getting it clean it's going in the indoor storage for the winter. Pink stuff's already in.... ;-)

  • Magic eraser works wonderfull where many other cleaning agent fail. I also use Bar Keeper, this stuff is just amazing for many type of stain. I tried them on my fiberglass camper and it works great.
  • I have used them and they work well. I believe your roof is fiberglass so a pressure washer will help a lot too.
