Since I've never owned a diesel (other than 9 months in 2002, which was a 1982 Diesel Cadillac - don't even go there - LOL) I hadn't really given it a lot of thought.
I know diesels can get better MPG, have more torque, and be more reliable. I guess I'm just leery of the overall costs, repair bills, etc.
Question - are the generators on diesel MHs also diesel? Any special considerations for that?
I've seen some of the class B and C diesels have propane powered generators which I personally would not want. I haven't run across a class A diesel that did not have a diesel genny.
There is a possibility that the FRED (front engine diesels) might not have diesel genny.
I like the fact that we are all electric with a diesel genny and a diesel fired Webasto furnace. So, we have just one fuel to buy (except for DEF) which is right there attached to the diesel truck pumps.
Safe travels,

PS. I owned a new 1981 Oldsmobile diesel in the day..... OMG what a piece of junk. I have never bought another GM product since just to boycott them. And it worked, I single handedly put Oldsmobile out of business! :p
