Hi all,I am in the process of looking at Class C's and there are several things I am noticing. For starters, I have found only one so far with a level floor from front to back. All the others I have seen has a step up just past the kitchen heading back to the bedroom. This was a Thor, cant recall the model. I looked at a Thor Chateau and it has roll out or crank out windows, instead of sliding windows. The other thing I noticed is that none of them have leveling jacks. I asked the sales lady about this and she tells me that most if not all campgrounds are level now-a-days and jacks are not really needed anymore.I told her that I am not planning on staying in CG's very often, and I would need jacks. Looking at mhsrv out of Texas and every Thor I see has jacks. Really? So Texas RV's need jacks and North Carolina RV's don't?Anyway, what is the general opinion of crank out windows vs sliders? Are most C's built with a step up in the floor plan? Jacks or no Jacks?Looking at 2015 models, Thor is what they sell. Really like the bunk bed model, seems to offer more room than the others?Oh, one more thing...this new fangled "Rapid Camp" remote control thingy, it starts the gen, rolls out the slide, deploys the awning, and lowers the jacks that the RV DOES NOT HAVE!!! It is very rare for a C to come with jacks. They are usually marginal on weight already and jacks are heavy. I have no experience with crank out windows, so I can't help you there.Personally, I have never seen a C with a step up anywhere except the entrance door and coming from the cab area to the living area. I have never seen a C with a step up actually IN the living area.Never heard of "Rapid Camp." I would not want it to start the generator or put out the awning. I don't do either of those regularly.

The benefit of crank out windows is they can be opened in the rain. The slide windows, not so much. I find it aggravating, not having at least one crank window for air, but what can you do?As for leveling jacks, sometimes I miss my tt. It was much easier to level front to back. Or it could be the campgrounds I have been staying in. But, push button leveling jacks, when you are on fairly level ground, make set up a lot easier. And, they keep the fridge level. Get jacks.One of the reasons we ended up with a A instead of a C was the step up from the cab. The cab feels like a cave after being in an A and the space is pretty unusable while camping. However, if we were going to go shorter (less than 30') we would definitely get a C, step up or not.Rapid camp sounds like a stupid gimmick. I rarely want to start my generator when I arrive, considering the batteries are usually fully charged from the drive. Often it is too windy for my awning, and I only have 3 buttons to push for my slides and jacks. Is that so hard? Is there an option not to 'rapid camp?'

I have a 99'Class A now, no slides, no jacks. Its time to upgrade. I agree about the step up thing, my A is flat from end to end. I guess having a step mid way of the coach is not a big deal, just wondering if that was common.
I plan to Fulltime in the C, so being able to open the windows all the way in the summer is a big deal.
I have spent a lot of time in the A, and I think the C will be a good move for me. Smaller, easier to park, easier to work on, etc. Thanks Bobbo, I thought all C's came with jacks like A's do. dahkota I agree, the Rapid Camp is a gimmick for sure, but they are pushing it hard.
