"Maddawg46".....A couple of suggestions. In Coos Bay, the Mill Casino RV park is really nice. A lot of sightseeing can be done form there. AT Golds Beach, Turtlerock RV park is a good place to stay, not exotic, but nice. While at Golds Beach, you need to take Jerry's Jet Boat ride up the Rogue River. They have lunch and dinner rides. You may want to book a day in advance (drive over from the campground, about two miles away and look at the various trips/prices) because they fill up fast.
If you go thru at Grants Pass, there is a nice clean RV park right on the I-5 exit at Grants Pass...you hear freeway noise, but for overnight parking it's really clean. It's called Jack's Landing. You can call them while enroute and they will save you a spot for the night. They fill up early. Lastly, if you take the Grants Pass route, you might want to stop for a visti at the Oregon Caverns.
