picking up my new class C. need everything for the outside. What outside equipment is a must. not a lot of outside storage.would appreciaiate a list or any help in buying the correct iteams like what length of hoses, electrical iteams thanks

I can suggest 2 25ft bright orange electical extension cords, a surge protector, a fresh water hose (I like the 25-ft pocket hose) sewer hoses and bent extension with hose connection, cargo carrier, bicycle rack. Perhaps some battery chargers.Don't know what TV setup you have built in.Get yourself a good spade, an axe, a hatchet, some wrenches for the sewer hookup. Consider a bottle jack. An air compressor is good to have. A general purpose tool box. In my case I also have a box of electrical spares and tools. You could consider a big tow strap and a hitch adapter for that.A collection of bungee cords and some rope will do you good. Folding camp chairs, and maybe a BBQ. We have both a gas and a briquette type depending on the campground rules.Bicycles are very convenient. I'm about to build storage under the frame for the sewer hoses and another for fishing poles.If you go to camping world you will find a plethora of goodies you never thought existed and will suddenly feel like you can't live without such as awning lights or other decorations. Watch your wallet.

Hi,Welcome to the forums.Storage is always at a premium. One folding chair for each camper. I mostly boondock.Find out what the weight distribution is on the RV.Try to be a minimalist about what to take along. Once a year have a triage session and other than safety equipment down size what you can.Is it a 50 amp or a 30 amp service? I would want one extension cord for starters.I use one of these hoses: hose on a spool-fabricA lot depends on the camping style. If there are always picnic tables...then you don't need a table.

Here's what I last took with me:- RV extension cord for 30A/50A depending upon your camper - this will give you more flexibility on how you orient your camper at campsites- Pigtail to step up from 30A to 50A outlet or step down from 50A to 30A outlet - this will allow you to connect to shoreline power at more campgrounds- 2 25' RV water hoses- 25' coax cable to connect to campground cable TV- Water spigot Y-adapter- Water nozzle- 2 25' outdoor extension cords- outdoor plug multiplier- sewer hose and all of the attachments- leveling blocks- camp chairs for everyone camping with you- campfire cooking equipment - we use pie irons, a popcorn popper, a percolating coffee pot, marshmallow sticks, dutch ovens, dutch oven tripod- machete- axe- branch saw- citronella candles

lights...be careful of putting cute things on the awning...in case you need to close it quickly because of weather! More and more people are getting rope lighting and putting it on the ground below their awnings!

Just remember, if you put lots out, you have lots to remember to put back. Also, the weight! I carry a George Foreman grill.

I do something similar except the faucet is at the other end with the pressure regulator and gauge also attached.

certainly not trying to hijack your thread but one of the responses made me think of a quick question.

regarding lights on the awning. are there any lights that you can attach that you can just leave attached and roll up with the awning?

I'm guessing that with the "cute" lights you have to attach the hooks and then the lights each time you set up. didn't know if maybe the rope lighting could just be left on the awning.
