I installed the other temperature sensor in the wet bay basement compartment so that we can monitor what is going on there. Since we travel a lot in the Winter, to cold locations, we like to know what is going on outside.
I have messed around with wireless units. They seem to never work good behind the rear axle. I have mine if the front area too but when I stop, it jumps real quick into the 100's from engine heat. Driving later, it is ok, and it is ok after sitting for a day.
I started with my sensor up front and had the same problem until I moved it aft.
