Pace arrow 1995 parallel or series

Hi,

I am reassembling a new to me 1995 Pace arrow class A.

I have a schematic of the electrical system, that shows what I believe to be 2 house batteries wired in series. It does not give me the voltage of the batteries though. Am I correct that you don't want 2 - 12 v batteries wired in series? or does it have a regulator of some sort that keeps the voltage at the correct level.

Given that I have 2 new deep cycle 12 volt batteries, should I wire them up in parallel?

Thanks,
Rookie

Fleetwood typically put in a pair of golf cart batteries in their motorhomes. they tend to last much longer than a pair of 12 volt batteries.

So your wiring diagram is a pair of golf cart 6 volt batteries in series.

Fleetwood never made a 24 volt system.

    Fred.

X2 that is the way my 94 PA is wired.

A series connection adds the voltage and a parallel connection keeps it the same, so yes it's parallel for 12v. Are you sure you have true deep cycle 12's or marine dual purpose type? Either way, if you already own them, use them. If and when replacing, you'll be better served with two 6v golf cart batteries wired in series.
