This was an irritation with my coach as well. The switch was way up front and not at either the sink or bathroom. I solved the problem by adding two switches: one in the bathroom reachable while sitting down. You could make this a timer switch which you turn on by rotating so that it will not get left on at night by kids.
The other I added to the cabinet over the kitchen sink. A small hole in the cabinet face for the rocker switch and found a hot 12v wire, put in an inline fuse and ran wire to switch and then to the pump.
In my case, the switch that is used to turn the pump on, is the one you need to use to turn it off. Simple to wire. The original switch was left in place and still works.
