I fairly new at the Class A thing, but I would agree with everyone else that the slide should be all in or all out. I don't know this for fact, but it also seems to me that since they were designed to be all in or all out, that partial deployment would be a setup for structural damage to the slide as well. Mine has almost a groove that it kind of "falls" into when it goes out... which lets me know it's there. When it's retracted, it seems to rise out of the groove and then comes in. Looks like to me if it was partially deployed, it would be in a position to teeter on the rails since the inside framework help to support it once it reaches full out position. Just my $.02 worth....
