Parking problems with big rig

We have a 42' coach and tow a Ford F150 with a golf car in the bed. I've seen folks with similar rigs with motorcycles in the truck bed.

That said, we are generally limited to privately owned RV parks with larger sites. I've seen some long DP's coming into some parks towing long enclosed trailers. Some fit, some don't.

We only accommodate motorhomes with trailers in select sites. It is seldom we can actually accept reservations with anything less than several months notice. The reason is a 40 foot motorhome with a 20 foot long trailer needs a site over 90 feet in length. There needs to be a couple of feet buffer at each end of the site, there is several feet of hitch between the trailer and the rig and then you need to have space to park whatever is being carried inside the trailer.
On top of that, such rigs need to have pull thrus with a very large turning radius, otherwise they have to drive across the adjacent sites to enter and exit. It just isn't worth the hassle and risk to put such rigs into anything other than the exact Goldilocks site. So once those sites are reserved (and we don't hold them specifically for motorhome/trailer combos, they are desirable for all big motorhomes, large fifth wheels and other assorted combos), we just say no.

Agree that for what he wants to bring along, a stacker trailer is the answer.

We pull a enclosed trailer behind our coach and are 64' in total length. We've probably done over 50K miles with that setup. Lots of places to stay you just need to plan ahead. The odd time we have to disconnect the trailer and
park it in a storage area. Backing up is not that hard if you are experienced towing a trailer. You might want to consider a stacker trailer to fit all your toys and keep the trailer length to a minimum.

1st. The trike the OP has is a V8 powered item. Not your dads trike.
Back in the day I hauled a drag car all over the country in an enclosed trailer. We never drove it into the trailer. We used a winch to load and unload with the steering straight. Once inside the trailer We tied it down from underneath using an crisscross pattern Near had any trouble

With a really BIG rig (over 35 foot) you need to do a virtual visit to your campground before you go there, THat is go to the web page and reserve a big enough site. Most campgrounds I have visited have details on the web page as to how big the sites are... NOW that said.. I have put my 38' 3-slide out Class A on a site marked "Tents only" due to the small size without issue.. . But well hey must have used a six foot yard stick when they measured.. (I mean it was not even a "Tight fit") But only one such site.

The OP said a 22 foot trailer and he wants to put a Jeep Wrangler and three wheel motorcycle in it. So if 22 is the overall length that means the box is 18 feet. Not a lot of room for a Wrangler and a three wheel motorcycle. So I think it's reasonable to assume he's talking about a 22 foot box which would be a 25 foot overall length.

I have a 16 foot flat bed trailer that was advertised as a 16 foot trailer. The flat bed in fact is 16 feet long and the trailer has an overall length of 20 feet.

I do believe a 4' tongue is the minimum any motorhome should use .. 4'6" or 5' is better or clearance becomes a big problem that would be a 26-27 overall plus a foot or so for the ball receiver plus the 42-43 motorhome ..

As you know, the 38 footer plus the Jeep makes a pretty long package. To me, the larger MH and trailer would be unthinkable. Everything about it would be stressful and difficult but I realize some have a much higher tolerance than I. I think you would have to plan ahead for every stay and make sure a campground has sites that big. Most won't and especially not public campgrounds.
