Parking restriction in unincorporated area of LA county

I called Los Angeles country planner today just to ask them if there are any RV parking restrictions in my area (an unincorporated area of Los Angeles county). I was surprised to learn that we are not...

Parked on the street, in a long line of other cars, none of which had a ticket. I suspect they targeted my car because it was from out of town.
