The only Toyota based motor home I could recommend is one with the later V6 engine. I am not sure when that engine replaced the 4 cylinder but it could be around 1989-1990. That is regardless of the condition. I could not recommend a pristine 4 cylinder, let alone what you describe. If you paid only $1000 that would be enough of a loss to learn a lesson.
