Patio mat

I truly don't know how we would do this without this forum, thank you all. Getting closer to picking up our coach and the list of things we need seems endless. We will have a 45 foot HR Navigator. What size and type of patio mat would you recommend?

Thanks,

Stuart n Leslie
  • here on the east coast, several campgrounds have banned these. you may want to check the campgrounds you plan to visit before you spend your $
  • We have the woven plastic type, too. It's 16x10' and reversible. We have used it every trip for three years and it still looks new. We sweep it off before we fold it and stow it, and we've washed it in the driveway once when we had to pack it wet.

Go higher quality - the cheap ones don't last. We got ours at QVC or HSN, I don't remember which.

    Happy camping,

  • we have a pair of woven 9 x 12's. They are easy to take care of, and seem to last forever. Don't know if there is a difference, but ours are camping world not walmart.

There will be some campgrounds that don't allow them.
  • We like the woven plastic also.
Some people tout using indoor outdoor carpet. It does last about forever but it is horrible to roll up when dirty and wet and is difficult to store in that condition.

The woven plastic drys fast, cleans easy, and is easy to fold up and store.

I have found that the really cheap ones (less than $40) don't last very long and that the ones that go for $50 to $60 last longer.
Right now ours is about four years old and since we are full timers gets a lot of use. We got it in Quartzsite and paid about $60 for it,
  • Walmart sells them too at a lower price. Walmart sells online and our local one stocks two types.

We also use an 8X20 woven plastic carpet. Current one we've had for 4 years now and it's still in great shape.
  • We use the 8X20.Patio Mat..they won't ruin the grass, if any, at the campsite...bought it on sale at Quartzsite for about $58. Camping World has them also, I believe....Dennis
  • I have one that is made of a plastic weaver material. The best mat I have ever owned. I bought the size that closest matches my awning.
