I agree most dogs are brought along as "children" just take them with you when you leave the RV for hours so they don't bother the neighbors which happens more often than dog lovers want to believe. That is how campground rules come about.
They are not children and you can't always do that. Dogs cannot go everywhere a human can. Just like in the S&B, we go out to dinner, see the sites and such. If the dogs can go, we take them. If they cannot, they stay in the house, with or without wheels. We leave the AC or heat on. They have plenty of water and chew toys and are always well fed. They make little to no noise when we are not there. Yes, we have sat outside and have asked neighbors. Only time our littlest one makes noise is when someone knocks, and he will bark then. Only for a minute and the stop unless you knock again.
I would agree that this park (and maybe others) has a burr. Maybe the rule is there as a "nuisance rule". Only enforceable if your dog is a nuisance with the neighbors. Then your "asked" to leave. Like Exec said, "Know the rules, choose a park accordingly and obey the rules or be prepared to pay the price (being asked to leave)."
