Having now stayed in Florida during the summer months I understand why Florida law may be strict about pets in cars.
Even during the winter months the sun is FAR hotter than up North. Just yesterday a child was left in a car while the father went inside the library. Within minutes the inside of the car was determined by the officer to be 113 degrees. AND yesterday was a relevantly cool day here.
Come summer vehicles turn into instant ovens. EVEN with the windows opened. It is truly dangerous for man and beast.
Same goes for an RV without the ac on and you stop for gas and go into the station to shop and/or pay an RV will heat up just as fast down here. Leave a pet in an RV in a CG and have the power go down in the CG and sadly you will have a dead pet. FYI - Many surge protectors do NOT reset after they have tripped.
