Also AVIDA used to build a Diesel Pusher version in late 1999 to about 2005 , thinking of doing this again, but only if the market improves Their 36ft-40ft Pusher Diesel

Yes sure is,depends on what you want. Most touring Class C's come in the 26-27ft length. 31ft is the maximum you would get. Yes they are mostly "Pretty"
Now you can get small bus conversions based on a Asian Bus 4.5 to 7 litre diesels. These are popular ranging from 23-30ft. Small Class C,s are also available from a manufacturer

But too pretty, too long, and too many slides for me even if we lived in Australia. Is there anything in between pretty/long/slides and expedition .... available there?

IMHO, an "in between" Class C is what the DW and I are using here (but I know you disagree ... as we've discussed this before). ;)
