Trademarks are not harmonized globally, despite the existence of more than a dozen international organizations, multilateral trading treatings, and intellectual property pacts that attempt to do so. Scope is essentially local, and if you want to operate globally you might have to register a trademark everywhere it is used.

Someone else owns the Winnebago name and logos in Australia, because they have registered the properties there. If the U.S. Winnebago Corporation does business in that market, they are likely licensing the use of the name from the Australian trademark owner.
