I will tell you a short story.. Couple of years ago I pulled int a Flyin-J that happens to be across the road from a Pilot in Beaverdam, OH.
Next morning I got up and went online (Gasbuddy.com) to find the cheapest gas for at least 100 miles in both directions.
Turns out it was about 50 yards away, as well as across the road. Yup, Pilot and Flying-J were the two stations with the same, (no surprise) lowest price in the entire state of Ohio, also KY and MI.
Now, J's are not always that good.. but they do often manage to be within a penny or two of lowest, and thus when you swipe the card....
