The facts are that tire fail from time to time and there is not much you can do about it other than to be prepared at all times. Having brand new tires does not mean that you will not have a blow out. As a driver of a large vehicle you have to anticipate the possibility that you may have to react to anything that could go wrong, from a failed belt, that causes the loss of power steering, to overheated brakes, and to a tire blowout at highway speed. Stuff happens and no amount of preventative maintenance can totally prevent a mechanical failure when you least expect it.
Always have a plan on how to deal with a problem and stay alert at all times when behind the wheel.
