If I could keep the psi at about 80 I'd not have a problem...but, alas, that's not going to be possible.
I personally think that you are overlooking the forest for the trees......and making this much harder, and more expensive than it needs to be.
The steering characteristics changes dramatically ONLY with the pressure increase in the front tires....right ??
And what is the "owners manual" recommendation for the fronts ??
You CAN get better control of your tire pressures than just "fill and go forever" but it takes a little fore-thought and maybe carrying a compressor with you.
For instance, when you know it will be HOT during your travels that day, start out at 70 in the fronts instead of 80. Keep your speed down a bit the first 20 miles or so (60 MPH instead of 70).
That in itself might solve 90% of your problems and would need a little modification only when it will remain really COLD for the entire days driving.
