Can't speak to price but as an owner of a 90's Class C here's a few recommendations.
1) Have the rig pressure tested (about $100) and look for signs of water damage.
2) Tire age? You may have to replace even if they look decent.
3) Low mileage is good but at that age many things in engine compartment are subject to time not mileage. Consider hiring mechanic to check out the engine - it's likely you have to replace the hoses/belts and if you have to replace water pump, spark plugs, distributor etc the Ford dealer can charge you somewhere in the 2K range. Common to have brake issues with rigs that don't get used - water gets into brake fluid and calipers rust out (ask whether he changes brake fluid annually).
4)Ask whether he has upgraded the converter - if it's got an old magnatec you may want to upgrade.
Nothing wrong with old so long as it's been well maintained.
Usually, if it's on CL and older, maintenance has slipped with age....
