Pomona RV Show - First Impressions?

The Pomona RV show started on the 10th. Has anyone gone, and if so, what were your impressions? I am hoping that with the perceived "Improved" economy things might be bigger and better.

Didn't find one on the site, have a link?
  • Was there yesterday, went specifically to look at 6 different Class A DP manufactures, Monaco, American Coach, Entegra Coach, Newmar, Itasca/Winnebago and Tiffin.
Was able to talk with Bob Tiffin for a bit. All 6 manufactures had plenty of inventory to check out. The parking seemed to be fuller than in years past. The product tent was disappointing as always not much to see. Make sure you get the coupon off the WEB for buy one admission and get one free and save 10 dollars. Just looking through those 6 manufactures took about 4 hours, so there is a lot to see if looking at other manufactures and or towables.
  • We went on the 10th. Heavy presence by Richardson's RV, Giant RV, Mike Thompson's RV, and Camping World. We were looking at Class C's and Class A's. Lance TC's were there and surprised at the large crowd. Actually had some of the TC's loaded onto Ford F350's.

Not a lot of brochure's handed out. A little disappointing. The vendor tent was disappointing and hot. Shuttle wasn't running when we showed up and was a little bit of a walk.

Show any form of military or VA card and your in for free. We didn't eat there and were able to bring in our own drinks.

What year is your Shelby? I never met Carroll but we exchanged e-mails several times before he died! I love those cars!
  • We leave Friday for the show. Sure beats anything we have here in Phoenix :M
  • Much better than the previous years. There appeared to be many more RVs than the last few years. The tent had a greater number of booths, nothing that I needed, but a great improvement over the last few years. In discussions with a few sales people they seemed happy that sales seemed to be up from previous years.

  • Went on the 10th all the RV's are there and usual dealers. Saw several units with the doors closed meaning some one was inside working out a deal. Not many RV toys in the tent and no AC in the tent this year. Hamburger fries and drink 12.65 bring your own snacks

I hope it's a reasonably good one since it's a fairly long trip.
Gonna leave my wallet at home :B:B:B
